Irpinia Rosso DOC “Sanserino” is a red wine with a ruby red colour of good brightness. On the nose it expresses marked hints of black cherry, blackberry, prunes with a slight presence of sweet spices with a closure of aromatic vegetable notes. On the palate it is soft with a pleasant note of concentrated fruit, balanced and with a long, slightly almond finish. A nice taste that closes with a pleasant finish.

Irpinia Rosso DOC “Sanserino”: why we like it
The “Sanserino” red wine is the result of the vinification of 70% Aglianico and 30% Sangiovese grapes, grown in the Tenuta’s vineyards. It is a light, lively and aromatic red wine to drink slightly chilled. The vineyards are located in the hilly area of the municipalities of Luogosano, S’Angelo All’Esca and Taurasi, at an altitude of 300 m a.s.l., characterized by a silty and sandy soil type and a frequent presence of limestone and volcanic elements.
The hand-picked grapes are de-stemmed and then cold macerated for a few hours. Then it is the turn of a maceration on the skins for a week and an aging period of at least 16 months in concrete tanks. Finally, it refines at least 4 months in the bottle.
Ideal for food and wine pairings with robust first courses, sausages, roast pork, vegetarian dishes seasoned with rich and tasty sauces, delicately spiced recipes. Service temperature of 12-14 ° C.

È un vino dal gusto pieno e rotondo, con note di frutta rossa e un finale piacevolmente ammandorlato. È stato perfetto con i nostri piatti di carne arrosto o anche da sorseggiare con un tagliere di formaggi. Devo dire che avevo già provato un altro vino di questa cantina che pure mi aveva sorpreso. sicuramente una bella realtà vitivinicola, complimenti.
