Irpinia Falanghina DOC “Lila” is a white wine with a crystalline straw yellow colour. On the nose it expresses an intense bouquet with notes of fruit, pineapple, banana, apple and pear juice on a light white flowers’ background. On the palate it has a strong impact and good acidity that leaves the mouth fresh and tasty with a pleasantly persistent aftertaste that recalls green apple and banana.

Irpinia Falanghina DOC “Lila”: why we like it
Lila is the result of the pure vinification of 100% Falanghina grapes grown in vineyards located on the hills of the municipalities of Luogosano and Sant’Angelo all’Esca, where the soil type is clayey-sandy with volcanic elements.
The hand-picked grapes are immediately transported to the cellar, selected, and pressed whole. The clarification of the “flower must” is obtained through a cold processing. The ferrmentation process takes place in steel containers at a controlled temperature and then the wine ages on its fine lees. Then a phase of refinement in the bottle follows.
As far as food pairings are concerned, Lila also matches with more elaborate dishes: appetizers and medium-bodied land or sea first courses, fresh cheeses, light fried foods, tasty salads, white meats and delicately spiced dishes. Service temperature of 10°C/12°C.
