Irpinia Rosato DOP by Boccella Rosa: why we like it
Irpinia Rosato DOP, produced by the Boccella Rosa winery, is a high quality rosé wine composed with 100% Aglianico grapes. The vineyards, located at about 550/600 mts above sea level, have an average age of about 20 years. The calcareous-clayey soil, rich in volcanic deposits, favours a maturity of the grapes in late October/early November, during a period in which the harvest is carried out meticulously by hand.
To obtain this high quality rosé wine, the grapes are left to rest for 10/12 days in steel tanks and subsequently, after the pressing phase, in steel barrels, for a period of 6 months, in which the wine will go to mature.
This rosé wine pairs well with mixed aperitifs, based on meat, fish or vegetables, with which it finds greater affinity. Particularly suitable also with white meats dishes, such as chicken or turkey, but also with game, such as rabbit or hare. Especially recommended with grilled fish.
