Campania Aglianico IGP by Boccella Rosa: why we like it
Campania Aglianico IGP, prouced by the Boccella Rosa winery, is a fruity and fresh red wine produced with 100% Aglianico grapes. The vineyards that produce these grapes are located at 550/600 metres above sea level, and they are characterized by the specific composition of the soil which consists of a clayey, calcareous and arenaceous elements, rich in volcanic deposits.
The growing system used to produce this Campania Aglianico I.G.P. is that one named espalier with guyot or spurred cordon pruning, in order to allow the grapes to be harvested by hand, with the utmost care and deposited in standard 20 kg crates.
The winemaking process is carried out in steel tanks for about 10 to 12 days. This phase is followed by a period of maturation in the aforementioned tanks for 6 months and subsequently a refinement in the bottle.
It matches particularly well with meat dishes, preferably grilled such as game, braised meats and stews. Especially recommended, even with particularly aged cheeses or with very spicy roasts. A recommended combination is also with some desserts, in particular, if they are based on mixed berries.
For the best tasting experience with this wine, it is advisable to maintain a temperature of 18/20 C ° and use a small Decanter or a large glass.
