Campania Aglianico IGP “Passione”: : why we like it
This Campania Aglianico IGP “Passione” produced by the La Cantina di Enza winery best highlights the particular qualities of the Aglianico grapes, carefully worked by Enza and his father in the creation of this wine. This wine is obtained from pure Aglianico grapes, coming from the family vineyards located in the municipality of Montemarano, in the heart of the Irpinia wine-growing area. The grapes are harvested by hand, then transported to the cellar where they are not filtered or clarified from a mechanical or chemical point of view. The refinement procedures take place in chestnut barrels for 12 months, before finishing the aging in the bottle. It is put on the market approximately 5/6 years after the harvest.
Its specific characteristics pair well with elaborate dishes, such as structured ground first courses, ragout, but also second courses such as roasts, game and game, without forgetting appetizers and aperitifs based on sliced cured meats and well-matured and tasty cheeses. It is recommended to taste it at a serving temperature of 16 – 18°C.
