Irpinia Aglianico DOC “Rosso Tau”, produced by the Sella delle Spine winery, is an intense ruby red wine, its olfactory profile expresses a large bouquet of aromas composed of fragrants of cherry, plum and wild berries, to which spicy notes are added. Its taste is characterized by a dry flavour, with a great structure and elegance and with a dense and persistent expression of soft tannins. A tasting experience that leaves an impression, which ends with a sense of good persistence.

Irpinia Aglianico DOC “Rosso Tau”: why we like it

Irpinia Aglianico DOC “Rosso Tau” is a red wine produced with 100% Aglianico grapes from the vineyard located in the municipality of Taurasi, where Sella delle Spine winery was born.

Its vines, which produce Aglianico quality grapes, are located on mixed soil and they are grown using the system called “spurred cordon”.

The harvest time is between the end of October and the beginning of November. During the reserving period, it is aged in French oak barrels for 4 months, while the final aging phase is spent in bottle for 6-8 months.

It prefers combinations with red meats, meat ragout and aged cheeses. It should be served at a temperature of 18° C.
