Irpinia Aglianico DOC “Rosso Tau”: why we like it
Irpinia Aglianico DOC “Rosso Tau” is a red wine produced with 100% Aglianico grapes from the vineyard located in the municipality of Taurasi, where Sella delle Spine winery was born.
Its vines, which produce Aglianico quality grapes, are located on mixed soil and they are grown using the system called “spurred cordon”.
The harvest time is between the end of October and the beginning of November. During the reserving period, it is aged in French oak barrels for 4 months, while the final aging phase is spent in bottle for 6-8 months.
It prefers combinations with red meats, meat ragout and aged cheeses. It should be served at a temperature of 18° C.
