Fiano di Avellino DOCG “Biancofiore”: why we like it
This Fiano di Avellino DOCG white wine is obtained from the careful selection of 100% Fiano grapes from vineyards located in the municipality of San Michele di Pratola and Montefalcione.
The grapes are harvested by hand in the first half of October and transported to the cellar where they are carefully processed. The fermentation process takes place in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of the cold decanted must. Then it spends a period of refinement on fine lees for a few months and finally spends another period of refinement in the bottle. The result is a long-lived wine that improves over the years.
The specific characteristics of this wine match elegantly with haute cuisine dishes based on fish, aperitifs, oysters, raw and cooked seafood, first and second fish courses. It is recommended to taste it in a tulip glass at a serving temperature of 10 – 12°C.
