Campania Rosato IGP “Macchiarosa”: why we like it
“Macchiarosa” is obtained from the careful selection of 85% Aglianico grapes and 15% other vines from vineyards located in central Irpinia.
The grapes are harvested by hand at the end of October and transported to the cellar where they are carefully processed. The process begins with a very soft pressing phase, followed by fermentation of the cold-decanted free-run must. Then there is a careful period of refinement in steel tanks and finally another refinement period in the bottle. The result is a wine with very low sulphite content.
The characteristics of this wine match perfectly with appetizers, aperitifs, dry pasta, risottos, fish soups, white meats, buffalo mozzarella, fresh cheeses. It is recommended to taste it in a glass at a serving temperature of 8-10°C.
