Antico Borgo’s Irpinia Aglianico DOC is a wine that expresses with authenticity and character the soul of the Aglianico grape, one of the noblest and most fascinating in Southern Italy. Made from grapes selected in the Taurasi DOCG area, this red wine of great personality combines structure, freshness and drinkability, making it perfect for any occasion. After aging for six months in oak barrels, the wine stands out for its harmonious profile, capable of evolving over time and surprising with its elegance.

The wine is bright ruby red to the eye, shot through with purple hues that highlight its youthfulness. The nose reveals intense notes of ripe red fruits, cherry and plum, accompanied by delicate spicy nuances of black pepper and tobacco. In the mouth it is balanced, with well-integrated tannins and a pleasant freshness that enhances drinkability. The finish is long and persistent, with a return of the fruity and spicy notes.

Antico Borgo’s Irpinia Campi Taurasini DOC is a wine that encapsulates the essence of the Irpinian territory, enhancing the power and elegance of Aglianico in a more immediate and versatile version than Taurasi DOCG. Aged in oak barrels for 12 months, it conquers with its harmony and velvety character, maintaining an important structure and a deeply territorial soul.

The wine shows a deep ruby red color, enhanced by garnet reflections. The bouquet is rich and enveloping, with notes of ripe cherry, blackberry and plum intertwined with delicate hints of spice, tobacco and a light touch of vanilla, conferred by the passage in wood. The palate is soft and balanced, with smooth tannins and a pleasant freshness that enhances drinkability. The finish is long and persistent, with fruity and spicy hints.
