Visit to the historic winery of Miér Wines
Your experience begins with a guided tour of the historic 1800s cooperage, an evocative place that tells the story of Taurasi DOCG, a place where time and barrel wood work together to create wines of great structure and elegance. Between oak barrels and stone walls, you will discover the aging process and winemaking techniques that give life to the great wines of Irpinia.
After the winery, we will move between the rows of the vineyard in the company of Giacomo Pastore, where you will have the opportunity to learn more about Aglianico cultivation techniques with an educational lesson on pruning and vineyard management. A unique opportunity to experience firsthand the work and passion behind every bottle of Miér Wines.
Aperitif in the vineyard among the rows
After the walk through the vineyards, you can relax with an exclusive outdoor aperitif surrounded by breathtaking scenery. If you prefer, depending on the number of the group, the tasting can also be carried out in the historic winery. The aperitivo includes a tasting of 2 wines from the Miér Vini winery (Aglianico Rosso and a Bianco or Rosato), a rich board of artisanal cheeses and cured meats, selected from the best local productions, homemade bread and extra virgin olive oil from the FAM oil mill, as well as seasonal specialties, such as bread and omelet or fresh fava beans, and water to refresh your palate between tastings.
Tour of the historic center and to the Castle of Taurasi
To complete the experience, you can explore the historic center of Taurasi, with a walk through its charming medieval streets. Upon request, you can visit the Castello Marchionale, a symbol of the village’s winemaking tradition, with a guided tour by the architect who oversaw the restoration, who will take you on a journey steeped in history and fascinating ancient stories.
