Campania Aglianico IGP Bio Traditionis – Eliseo Santoro

(1 customer review)

12,00

Campania Aglianico IGP Bio, produced by Eliseo Santoro, is a ruby red wine. On the nose it offers a rich and enveloping fruity aroma with hints of plum and spicy notes. Tannic and full-bodied on the palate, fruity and enveloping with a velvety softness resulting from maturation. The finish is long and persistent, slightly astringent. A perfect wine that is appreciated with braised roasts and game, regional first courses but also spicy and mature cheeses.

Campania Aglianico IGP Bio Traditionis: why we like it

This Campania Aglianico PGI Bio from the Traditionis line is an expression of the pure Aglianico vine, coming from the organically grown Paternopoli vineyards, in the heart of the Taurasi DOCG wine-growing area. In this area recognized for the production of high quality wines, the vines grow luxuriantly on mixed tufaceous and clayey soils at an altitude of 410 meters above sea level, where they benefit from excellent hilly exposures to the south-west. The vineyard is cultivated using the Guyot system with a density of 3000 vines per hectare and a production of 80 quintals of grapes from which 56 hl of wine are derived, with an average annual production of 7500 bottles.

The harvest, strictly manual, takes place in the last ten days of October. The operations in the cellar are all carried out in an artisanal way: the grapes, carefully selected, are fermented spontaneously in stainless steel barrels, no filtering or clarification procedures take place to safeguard the characteristic elements of the type of wine. The refinement and maturation phases take place for approximately 18 months in steel before moving into the bottle, where the refinement process takes place for a further 4 months. An artisanal, unfiltered wine, an authentic expression of the territory. The possible presence of deposits on the bottom of the bottle is due to a natural evolution of the wine.

The result? A wine with good structure and aroma, which adapts to any type of dish with a fruity flavour, making itself appreciated with white meats, braised roasts and game, regional first courses but also spicy and mature cheeses. To fully appreciate its qualities, serve it in a large balloon at a temperature of 16°-18°C.

Spedizione curata e buona comunicazione. Grazie
