Beneventano Barbera IGP “Coppacorte” Bio: why we like it
This Beneventano Barbera IGP Bio is produced with pure Barbera del Sannio grapes from vineyards planted in the territory of the municipality of Calvi, in the province of Benevento. The vineyards are located on soil consisting of elements of a calcareous and clayey nature, which give robustness to the plants and particular organoleptic characteristics to the grapes. The training system used is espalier and the production method is certified Organic/Biodynamic.
After the harvest, once the grapes arrive at the winery, fermentation on the skins in chestnut vats begins; after racking, the wine is stored in steel, where it continues its aging period and then goes to the bottle for at least 6 months.
This is a well-structured, intense and rich wine, excellent with red meat dishes, roasts and grilled meats, as well as with earthy pasta dishes.
