Campania Aglianico IGT “Diamante Rosso Petrum”: Why We Love It
This Campania Aglianico IGT from Cantina DLP perfectly embodies the character of Aglianico, carefully cultivated in the vineyards of Contrada San Pietro, a historic area in the municipality of Taurasi. The grapes, hand-harvested in the last ten days of October, are vinified using traditional methods, undergoing fermentation for 15-20 days in steel tanks. This process enhances the extraction of intense fruity aromas and ensures an excellent tannic structure.
After fermentation, the wine is aged in steel tanks to preserve its freshness and vibrancy, before completing its maturation in the bottle for at least 12 months. The result is a full-bodied and flavourful wine that maintains the authenticity of the grape variety and the richness of its terroir.
Its distinctive characteristics make it the perfect match for slow-cooked meat dishes such as braised meats and game stews, as well as grilled meats and aged cheeses. It is best served at a temperature of 18-20°C.

Non avevo mai provato questa cantina e sono rimasto sorpreso. Un aglianico di un bel colore rosso rubino intenso e al naso si percepiscono chiaramente amarena e mora, con un tocco speziato molto interessante. Un vino ben fatto, ottimo per esplorare i sapori dell’Irpinia!
