Tenuta De Lisio: an innate passion for the land and vine
The Tenuta De Lisio winery was founded in 2006 in the municipality of Montemarano (AV), in the Irpinia region, thanks to the dedication and passion for the land and the family vineyards of the De Lisio brothers, Carlo and Lucio, with the aim of safeguarding and enhancing the ancient local knowledge without giving up innovation and experience with new techniques, thus managing to create unique and highly valuable wines.
We come from a family that has always been dedicated to working the land and above all the vineyards we own, made up mostly of the famous Aglianico vine, cultivated for centuries in these areas. We carry out all the processes following both the indications provided by the traditional methods of cultivation and processing of the grapes and the innovative methods of conservation and management of the various operational phases in the wine cellar, using barrique barrels but also steel tanks for the refinement processes. We pay deep attention to the creation of wines that reflect the authenticity of the Irpinia terroir.
In an area of just a few hectares, the vineyards extend from which we obtain special grapes capable of giving us 4 types of Campania red wine with one characteristic in common: the pure use of the famous and historic Aglianico grapes which, thanks to the creation of wines such as the Taurasi DOCG and the various red wines contained in the Irpinia DOC designation, have made the Irpinia wine-growing area famous throughout the world.
With deep passion, trying to safeguard the typical elements of the grapes and vines we produce, we thus ensure the production of four important Campania red wines: Taurasi DOCG “De Lisio”, Irpinia Campi Taurasini DOC “Sallù” and two versions of Irpinia Aglianico DOC, “Vincarl” and “O’ Surs”.
We invite you to discover our unique wines capable of describing a territory in a sip!
