With vineyards located in Castelvetere sul Calore, at the heart of Irpinia, Azienda Agricola Armando Coppola was born from a family’s enduring love for viticulture. Through generations, values, skills, and traditions in vine cultivation have been passed down. With deep roots in this land, Armando Coppola founded the winery in 2018 to produce authentic wines that capture the essence of the territory and the Aglianico grape.

Our winery’s story is closely tied to Grandfather Armando, who worked devotedly on his land for many years, passing down to us, his grandchildren, a love and respect for winemaking. His legacy lives on in the company, which today bears his name as a tribute to his resilience and teachings. Today, Azienda Agricola Armando Coppola is guided by a philosophy of respect for the land, with a strong focus on sustainability and quality.

Our vineyards, located in some of the best areas of Irpinia, are cultivated using practices that respect natural cycles and the local ecosystem. We believe in viticulture as an expression of the land, emphasising Aglianico’s unique characteristics through techniques that preserve its authenticity and integrity. The vineyards are trained on trellises with spur cordon pruning, maintaining low yields per hectare to ensure high-quality grapes. Harvesting is done by hand, selecting only the finest bunches.

In the cellar, our wines undergo a maturation process that combines different stages: steel tanks to preserve freshness and fruitiness, French oak to add complexity and depth, and finally, resting in the bottle to achieve optimal maturity. This blend of traditional and modern techniques allows us to offer wines that showcase the full potential of the grape and the land from which it originates.

The Armando Coppola range includes wines of great character, such as the Taurasi Riserva DOCG “Avos,” Irpinia Aglianico DOC “Nepos,” Irpinia Campi Taurasini DOC “Patres,” and the Irpinia Aglianico Vinificato in Bianco DOC “Uxor.” Each wine embodies the dedication and passion of the Coppola family, capturing the essence of Aglianico in a refined and authentic expression.
