Miér Vini: Where Passion for Wine Meets the Authenticity of Traditions from Irpinia

Miér Vini, the winery born in the 2000s in the municipality of Taurasi (AV), was the brainchild of Giacomo Pastore, aiming to craft artisanal wines true to local traditions and far from industrial methods.

Our story has even deeper roots, tracing back to 1994 when I unexpectedly became the heir to an ancient vineyard left by my father, Giuseppe.

What seemed like a random occurrence transformed into an extraordinary opportunity. Captivated by my father’s vineyard, I embarked on a journey into the world of viticulture. With determination and extensive study, I became a key figure in Irpinia and Campania for promoting both wine and the region.

In 2000, together with my wife Flora Tranfaglia, we founded Miér Vini. Our wines, such as the refined Taurasi DOCG “Don Ciriaco,” the enchanting “Vigna San Michele,” and the vibrant Irpinia Campi Taurasini DOC “Nero Latino,” come to life from 100% Aglianico grapes, carefully cultivated in the vineyards of Taurasi.

We are dedicated to artisanal winemaking, following principles of sustainability and respect for the land. We use minimal sulfites, ensuring authentic and vegan wines, as we abstain from animal-derived technological aids.

Our winery spans 3 hectares of volcanic-clay soil, a unique terroir that imparts character and complexity to our wines. In addition to our proprietary vineyards, we meticulously select grapes from the region’s finest vineyards, ensuring the quality and distinctiveness of our creations.
